The shop update for today is el grande updatito!
In a major way.
I’ve finished the jewelry I started on Tuesday:
6 Rings
1 Brooch
3 Necklaces
And I’ve just finished photographing said jewelry (240 photos). It took, quite literally, a geological time period since the room I usually use to photograph jewelry is in the middle of being painted! I had to use our tea room/entry way and it took me a while to figure out the new light source.
RW is one primo primer and I’ve only managed to track paint throughout the house once. A miracle really. Penelope, on the other hand, looks like a pinto pony. The room Robert is overhauling is the main living room. It used to be a murderous hue of red with an orange ceiling. It was a bit much even for this lover of color! We’re painting it a light, dove belly grey and all the original moldings will be restored to a crisp white by the time RW is done with his paint brushes. I’m looking forward to it, especially when it comes to relaxing in the evenings. I used to have to leave the main light off in that room because the colors were too much of a shock to my pupils.
Can you believe it’s Wednesday? I pedaled down to the Uni this morning for class
to find out it was cancelled. I was somewhat glad about it since town was tremendously foggy this morning and it made for romantic bike riding. I swooped about through the mist and picked up some groceries for a french toast feast with the Mister.
He buzzed his head yesterday
and is looking rather svelte.
I’m off to finish my work day now,
then tacos for dinner
and then climbing until we can’t open and shut our hands any more
down at the climbing gym.

I just wrote a post about painting too — we just did all of the doors in our hallways in a lovely espresso brown. I’m in love. In love with the warmth.

I gotta tell ya – it is infuriating that as soon as I even find out you have new stuff in the shop – I go to look and it’s already sold!! BAH! I have a gift cert. that’s burnin a hole in my pocket! Oh well – I’m waiting for the perfect big chunky ring to spend it on and I guess that just means the right one for me hasn’t been forged yet! No hard feelins!

Heavens lovely lady, The accomplishments you manage to get done in a day would take me about a month if I had said talent! I am really loving the agate cocktail ring and have a reasonable crush on all items above… especially the buffalo with heart… all the bulls I know round here would be proud to have their lady wear that brooch:)
