Yesterday:
Springing about town.
Leaping in the twilight.
Running my favorite 5 mile loop up on the West Bench with both dogs…digging into my winter energy stores and feeling the wind under my wings.
A bee.
Turning the earth in the gardens.
Transplanting the crocus patch to a more suitable corner of earth.
Latte sipping in the afternoon.
Marketing by bicycle, all around town.
Neck tension and a hot water bottle.
Designing but not making anything at all in my studio.
Spring cleaning.
Movie attendance at the cheap theatre in the evening (No wonder all the hooplah. It was good. Even RW enjoyed the viewing and now breathes deeply and looks at me intently every time he passes me in the house. I have to remind him that he is not a vegetarian vampire…we went through this same sort of situation the first time he saw a James Bond movie. For weeks at a time he’d earnestly tell me that his fish biologist position with the federal government was just a cover for his real job — the job he could tell me nothing about…)
Falling asleep to rain against the window and the thunder of the night trains.
This morning:
Still waiting out the rain.
38 robins listening for worms in the neighbors yard.
2 robins in my yard (what’s wrong with MY yard?) listening for worms.
Wool cardigan.
Furnace engaged.
Hearing the grass growing and blushing green.
In my heart, I’m living in the woods between the worlds.
Stormylightfiltering in through the living room window.
Penelope now, begging to be held
and Robert on the other side of town buying groceries.
I’m taking my time this weekend.
I hope you’re taking your time too or maybe even finding a bit of sabbath for your soul.
Warmly,
Jillian
Haha! My husband loved the movie and is now reading the Twilight books. He tries to bite my neck several time a day. Silly boys.
I have only 1 Robin and it’s crazy – fights with a squirrel. And bizarely, there was a Robin-Squirrel fighting duo last year – same ones???
I love your Sunday posts.
I “squeed” when i read that you saw Twilight. hehehe. Read the books if you want to read the equivalent of cotton candy. 🙂
Your weekend sounds lovely and I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I’ve spent this weekend visiting with my lil’ brother. Enjoy the rest of your day!

I sometimes feel as though I’m the only one who hasn’t fallen victim (heh) to the Twilight series. Someday perhaps!
I was late hopping on the Harry Potter bandwagon too… but I still love those stories.
It does my soul well to see you taking care of yourself in this manner.
Amen to what you said..take a sabbath for your soul. I took a nap with my firstborn kittie, and he was thrilled, and so was I. The plan was to go to work and study but I gave in to fatigue and decided this is what I wanted. I have no robins, no desirable birds that I know of, and my attempts at attracting seeds brings in the squirrels only! I don’t think birds like condos : ( …glad you got some rest…what did you say, a vegetarian vampire! Ha ha
making a hearty hamburger soup for supper to eat whilst we watch a silly movie on dvd. it’s freezing mist outside, really weird westcoast-y weather. the day was spend walking by the river with the dogs, then visiting with both sets of parents. nice! have a good one lady plume
xo
Do you have green grass?
We’re still buried under snow here as we hover around freezing. Better than Calgary … 23cm of snow today!
Hmmm … maybe that means that the grass is actually greener in Saskatoon?
HA no green grass in saskatoon…we got snow overnight too. not much though. but it does look a lot more like winter than spring this morning!
Springtime update in Pocatello:
It left overnight and now we have 3-4 inches of new snow!
It’s BEAUTIFUL!
I’m taking the dogs out to play in it right this instant!
Sounds like spring for certain…one day this and the next, that….playful and lovely!
Jump up and down for me too, please!
1. just got your email. WE ARE WATCHING IT when you are here. maybe 2 times. we’ll talk more about this later, but i’m dying. how many times have i said that? a lot. i’m dying. dying dying.
2. what book are you reading here? maybe you can tell me TO MY FACE in a couple days. eh?
3. can’t stop obsessing about our mutual obsession. can’t wait to obsess about it in obsessive person. oh my!
This is beautiful.
Our lives are beautiful.
Our cerebral inter-mixings are beautiful too.
When oh when will you be leaving for Seattle in the morning?
