I woke up to rain this morning. I like to keep the curtains and blinds open in the bedroom so that the morning comes in with the rise of the sun. I don’t like my sleeping space to be too dark. It feels unnatural.
This morning I had grand plans to wake up with the meadow larks the hop to work but the overcast grey of the day made the morning come later than usual.
Eventually, it was the rain on the window panes that roused me from sleep and I pushed my hands up against the glass and just felt all stress and pressure wash off my shoulders and out of my mind. I felt as clean as the grass, as clean as the trees, as clean as a bird feather in that downpour.
I woke up softened and the granite in my heart turned to sand, malleable and moveable. Ready to be struck with an impression.
dear plume: thank you for sharing the rain with Eastern Washington, we need it as do our wheat fields. the cleansing air is lifting our spirits as well. there is also a family of crows frolicking and squawking about in my front yard. I think they are fighting over the last peanut. all is well.
We like to hear your stories so feel free as a bee to tell more..!
ooOOoooOOOooo, we share a Tuesday together…how sweet…let me brew a pot of tea & I made fresh strawberry rhubarb jujelam (it came out a little too juicy to be jam or jelly) to go with the scones…so come my dear, join me, it's all about the SUN here today & I'm getting things ready to do a bit of photography with OUR Prairie Soul ring….turquoise, today… ooOOooOOOooo…so just you wait & see! *you woke to raindrops & I woke to sun *you heard sweet meadow larks & i heard car alarms *you touched glass & I touched stone *and together we connect, prairie soul, from the heart we call our home…
That lovely profile shot of you belongs on a cameo, my friend. I love your hair! Enjoy your Tuesday!

You know,
a girl can either respect and appreciate the rain and it’s cleansing action, or she can just see the mud it makes…
Lovely sentiments. I LOVE the colour of that walkway. Wow.
Will stop singing, “rain, rain go away, Susie wants to go out and play” and try to appreciate the rain.
🙂
Please send some of that rain this way. Florida is beginning to look like the desert I moved away from!

BEAUTIFUL cameo. LOVE it!
NIce jacket!!
My friend flew away this morning.
I would like a rainy day.
I can feel the clean of Tuesday in the water droplets on poetry and the rough red of your walkway.
AND I recognize something familiar…. TeeHEE!
