Whew.
Things are heating up here in Pokey.
RW and I spent a luxuriously warm weekend up to our elbows in bike grease and perennials. Our garden is nearly set for summer with the exception of a few more flowering vines I plan on purchasing over the next few weeks. I love a garden I can count on year to year. Ours will be and is replete with poppies, columbines, Virgina creepers, clematis, lupins, hollyhocks, foxglove and a bunch of other beautiful stuffs.
When I wasn’t gardening,
I spent some time flowing through the sunset up in the hills.
The glorious glow of longer days can’t be ignored.
I find myself stretching for the last of the rays
and soaking up hot sunbeams like rain on desert.
Pinky is adjusting to his new home very nicely and in an effort to make him the loveliest kitten ever, we’ve been getting him used to all sorts of experiences and handling him quite a lot. This shot is ensuite bath time. What a fellow. He’s got eyes like Paul Newman.
Penelope Pie is as devious as ever and she requires constant and close watching in order to prevent the catastrophic dispatching of newly planted pansies and petunias as evidenced by this photo where she looks a little soggy after I had to shoot her with the garden hose when I caught her rooting about my new pansy patch.
The Big One nearly blew a gasket when we bumped a batch of pheasant up in the hills. Poor bird dog might go bonkers before September rolls around.
AND THUS, SUMMER BEGINS.
I’m trying to keep the flow of beautiful things steady in the shop and so today you’ll find:

I want that cuff so much… Bless you Jillian – for always filling me with joy!
Shuckeroonies on the shout-out 🙂
I cannot wait!!!!!

This blog post was simply delightful. I’m so jealous that you have a) a dog to walk b) hills to walk him in and c) hills like THAT to walk your dog in.
Your little wet Pinkerton makes me smile. We tried doing that with our cat but he still hates the bath. Too bad for him. I do hate smelly cats.
Anyway, your jewelry is lovely as always. I especially like the one you kept for yourself. Does that one have a definition too? Enjoy your evening!
Oh those blue eyes!
i’ve been aching to get a wee pup or kitten…but my life just ain’t allowin’ it right now!
that picture of mr. pinky can’t help but put the song
“sweet little miss blue eyes” By Jim and Jesse in my head.
