STOPPING TO SMELL THE ROSES
AND THE CAT
MY FIRST POPE JOHN PAUL THE II BLOOM
NECTAR OF THE GODS I TELL YOU
SO FRAGRANT
I’D LIKE TO CLIMB INTO THE HEART OF IT
I THOUGHT TO MYSELF:
PEOPLE ARE A LOT LIKE CABBAGES SOME ARE PLUMP AND ROUND AND LOVELY AND OTHERS HAVE WORMS IN THEIR HEARTS
A BIT CYNICAL…I KNOW….BUT SO VERY TRUE
RAMBLING PAST THE DELPHINIUMS
TARRYING AT THE LUPINS
BEAMING DOWN ON THE YARROW
PRAYING FOR SQUASH
ACROSS THE PETUNIA PATCH
OVER TO THE SPRADDLED HOLLYHOCKS
WHAT’S FOR DINNER
LOVEY DOVEY MISTER PINKY
THINNING THE BEETS
BECAUSE GOOD THINGS NEED SPACE TO GROW
SQUASHING THE TWERP
SENDING YOU LOVE AND SMIRKS
SQUANDERING SUMMER LIKE IT’S A HANDFUL OF PENNIES
Post Script:
1. New water main = perfection.
2. Had RW on the telly line at midnight.
3. Going to the market with M.
4. Zucchini fritters for breakfast.
5. And a huge thank you to all the ladies and gents
who were kind and gracious to me this week. It’s a joy to know
you, to have your support and to feel the warmth of your
goodness.
There aren’t any worms in your little cabbage hearts.
No not one.
XO
wow, it was like I was there…. Pretty pretty flowers. Squeezable cat, just until he makes a tiny mew! Nice, very nice… thanks for a much needed "pretty thought" this morning. xxx
Thank YOU Linda.
Wish you were coming over for fritters!
SMOOCH
yum, sounds good… but, I have to cut the grass… xx
Such a lovely garden, and oh the adorable face on that kitty. He is just too cute, and I love the white roses, BEAUTIFUL.
Have a wonderful day! 🙂
Beautiful garden! And what care you've taken with your petunias.
Looks like heaven.

Your garden looks a gazillion times more beautiful than my coffee tastes! (your cat is just soooo dang cute!)
A feast for the eyes – all beautiful…pictures and words!
Don't forget to do something with those zucchini flowers…they are delicious too.
I can't wait to move into my new house with our new backyard and new garden ^_^
I MUST know the recipe for these zucchini fritters you speak of… Mr. G's parents have quite an abundance of squashies and the overflow always ends up on our table which I am ALWAYS VERY thankful for!… Did I ever give you my recipe for butternut squash Mac-n-cheese??? oh sister…
Oh Look at the John Paul! Ooh the beets are huge! Ah, that hollyhock is perfection! The onions marching so tall! Oh good, the lettuce has filled out! Good Lord, the cabbage! Nice, that squash is still kicking!
I forgot I was waiting on these pictures, but now I can feel the itch for dirt overcoming me and the desperate need to stick my face into a whole mess of tomato leaves.
smooch!
The beauty of your home astounds me every time you share pictures. I am amazed and inspired by the lovely environment you surround yourself with, and the incredible strength you hold within yourself.
Give Pinks a chin scratch for me. And ruffle his little lynx ears. (he's so CUTE). I saw a weenie dog and a Farley looking dog bronze sculptures at Pottery Barn yesterday and I thought of you. I think you need them on your mantle. Haha.
Have a great weekend, Plume!
A lovely romp through your soul's garden this morning.
Your epistles are sexy.
So wonderful. Thank you dear Plume!
My daughter keeps asking "Are we going to Idaho to visit Jillian?"
From this day forward, I shall think of myself as a cabbage … the good kind … and smile.
I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend and enjoying the weather. It's a tad chilly up here in Saskatoon. 13C and it feels like October.
the garden of eden…you're not kidding!

Ohhhhhhh, lovely to the fullest. Reminds me that I must add more to my window jungle!
Absolutely beautiful photos and what a garden! I'm envious =]
Dearest gals of garden envy:
You're perfectly welcome to come and enjoy it with me! I do not charge admission at Plume Gables BUT you will have to put in an hour of weeding each (it's out of control).
