I love it when friends come to visit and they’re willing to spend time with me in my studio. M and I spent yesterday enameling in ye olde workshop. It was far too hot to be running a kiln but it was so much fun, we were able to ignore our sweat trickling down our backs.
It was hot as Hades in there.
So I dressed the part and wielded my little pitchfork with glee.
The results:
Mexican fire opal, sterling silver and enameled copper buttons (made by me in my kiln here at The Gables).
Photographed and in the Etsy shop later today!
Happy Monday to you all!
Let’s leave last week behind
and stroll into the new week
with bright flames atop our fingertips.
XO
:::EDIT:::
Thanks to all the lovely ladies who came out to support me this evening
while I was updating the Etsy shop! Your notes buoyed me up
and your presence was felt (no matter the distance).
Love to you all, always,
Jillian Susan
woooow those look cool =O
yowzers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Monday to you too! The new pieces look awesome, of course!
A burnin' ring of fire – I'm diggin' it. Enjoy your week and your wonderful company!
Love those birds! They look like they're on fire, in a good way. Jillian its so refreshing to see an artist wear the right mask! (another reason I won't venture into enameling)
You are cute as can be Little Plumella with your pitch fork and gear… tee hee…and love what comes out of your kiln, heart and fingertips…woohoo
xoxo
you look good together.
Ohhhh I love the birds on the rings! Lovely idea. I adore your animal cut outs. Bison, Penelope, birds, poodle…love 'em all. Now you need a Farley ring! Or a Pinkerton brooch! I know I'd splurge for a kitty pin…seeing as I've recently become a cat person. (I suppose finally having a cat will do that to you)
Anyway, happy to see you had a fun weekend. Can't wait to see all the photos of your work in your shop!
I was floored by "Fly into peace", both the words and the metal. Truly inspirational.
sorry I missed the update.. there are some lucky ladies out there! :o)
