I’ve got a bounty of goodies to share with you today but I have two items in particular that I’d like to show you before I head over to the shop to do some listing!
First off, I must be under the spell of fall and Vincent Van Gogh because these earrings were born of both. I’ve been hoarding these ocean jasper cabochons since February and they look, rather explicitly, like Van Gogh’s Starry Night in both coloration as well as the orbicular patterning in the stones! I confess, I crush. Hard. Head over heels.
I’ve set the stones in simple bezels but as you can see, I’ve draped a set of fox tails from the base of the earring for a whole lot of musical swing and sway. These earrings are beautiful. I’m planning on listing them today…but if I don’t…it’s because I wasn’t quite ready to part with them yet. I hope you understand.
Also, I set a champagne druzy and an ivory fresh water pearl in separate settings for this necklace. It’s a choker drop style though I did add an extender chain that pushes the chain length out to 21 inches total — very versatile. I left the fox tail with a dark patina for some zingy contrast and satin finished the rest of the piece. It feels extraordinary on and and when I look at it, I feel as though it’s a really cohesive design — nice flow in this one between the components.
Ooh! I love it.
I hope you’re all very well indeed on this fine fine Thursday. Yeesh. I’m on pins and needles waiting for my new typewriter to arrive. Can you believe this:
I won a vintage Remington on Ebay back on August 20th and I’ve been hyperactive-ly excited about starting Confessions of Typewriter Tuesday once more (I haven’t been able to do these posts since that dratted show in Missoula poured an entire storm cloud straight into my beloved, vintage Underwood and seized up the mechanics…the keyboard action is downright filthy at the moment). Apparently, because the typewriter is difficult to package, the seller decided to NOT ship it until yesterday (What the hay?) after I had sent her a handful of messages about the silly thing. Humph.
Penelope is being quite annoying at the minute.
There will be much rejoicing whenst (not a real world) it finally arrives.
See you in a few avec les nouveaux bijoux!
XO
:::EDIT:::
Crikey! You chickies are some serious snipers!
Thanks to everyone who made an appearance at the Etsy shop update today!
As usual, I’m starving (I forsook breakfast this morning for photography and I’m going straight to lunch now) and I don’t have any socks on (you knocked them off). Your support means the world to me. Thanks thanks thanks.
Love,
The Noisy Plume
I was wondering what happened to that typewriter…

Swingin' Earrings! The druzy is delcectable.
i absolutely second mrslittlejeans question. how DO you part with them? it is my biggest struggle. first i just made them all REALLY expensive so i could tell myself i was selling them but no one would buy them. now i just hoard them… and my heart breaks a little each time i lovingly pack up and ship away one of my darling creations that i've chosen to let go…
maybe you just know that tomorrow or next week or next month you'll make something that you love just as much?
Starry starry night…paint your palette blue and grey….look out on a summer's day…..with eyes that know the darkness in my soul. Shadows on the hill…sketch the trees and the dafoldils…catch the breeze and the winters chills…in colours on the snowy linen land.
