::::::Cheese Please::::::Retitled: theworstblogpostever

Holy cats. I’ve been fighting with the photo upload department on Blogger for the last
who-knows-how-long. I’m feeling hungry and I’m feeling tired and I’m feeling like I want to get in a hot bath and then lay down in my bed with my large white dog and my little red dog and fall asleep until the sun comes up tomorrow. Because the sun will come out
tomorrow
bet your bottom dollar on tomorrow…

The number one reason why I shouldn’t be a motivational speaker is because I am extremely hypoglycemic and I crash like The Oceanic Six when the BSL starts to drop.
Someone.
Please procure a slice of cheese for me.
Now I feel bad for feeling so crummy because Farley just walked up and plopped his big brown jowls on my arm and sighed like he was saying, “Momma. Why haven’t we gone for a run yet today? Now it’s dark out and you’re not going to want to go. But you SHOULD go, and take me with you because then I won’t feel inclined to eat your favorite pair of boots.”
Yeesh. Guilt trip.
This is a postview instead of a preview of the shop update today. I tried to squeeze in my standard preview but I’ve got to be honest, today has been a proper zoo of a time. Eating and blogging were two priorities I failed to meet, so let’s do both now:

A wee little tea and crumpets brooch complete with a hole in the spout, a lid on the pot and a dangly little tea bag sprouting out from under the lid. It’s cute. It’s headed for Canada. Sorry. I should have let you know about it’s existence prior to the shop update. Wheeeeee!!!!!!
If you’re feeling broochy, I’ve got a few designs up my sleeve that I plan on
whipping up between now and Friday. It is, after all, scarf and sweater season.

Numero deux: A Keeper of the Fields Necklace. This baby is one huge, shadowbox medallion. I gave Mister Jackrabbit a chrysoprase heart, because all he thinks about is alfalfa — one track mind. I really like this necklace, all the details of it. The scalloped baseplate, the satin finish inside the shadowbox; I swirled in one direction only and you can see the sweep on the metal surface — quite nice. I also like the chain quite a lot. The three hoops coming off the bail. The bail….yep. I like it all.
And now I’m going to go make some toast. If you see my husband, while he’s away elk hunting, please tell him to come home because I need to be fed, the house is a mess, and I don’t have any groceries. And my right sinus feels under the control of some sort of allergy. And my feet are cold. And Penelope was bad. And I need my new bed put together because the new mattress and box spring are arriving tomorrow.
It’s a miracle I ever
make it through the
summers.
Tomorrow I’ll be less tired, hungry, tired and hungry.
I love you.
J
PS When I woke up this morning, there wasn’t any milk. But you could probably tell that already. Argh.
PSS This is officially the worst blog post I have ever written.

PSSS Sorry about that.
PSSSS At least you now know, without a doubt, that I am a human being and not a robot.
Robots don’t need to eat…though they ARE covered in shiny metal…..hmmmmmmm.
PSSSSS Mmmmmmm. I feel better already.

Love Mr Jackrabbit , very sweet I can see him in the meadow ,ever watchful, your poor sinus , a neti pot is wonderful and especially nice in dry climates. ; )

  2. … not the worst blog post at all! With you, there is no such thing a a bad blog post. We all have your back – even those of us who will never meet you. Be gentle with yourself Jillian.

  3. Oh, dear, take care and take to the bath; you deserve it! I'm also extremely hypoglycemic, so I know how it goes when things get bad…they seem to get really bad with energy and any linear thought falling right out of the soles of my shoes. ay dios mio! Tomorrow will be a new day and better and you'll get to start over. Take heart!
    Jamie

  4. At least Mr. Jackrabbit focuses on alfalfa instead of the lovely LILIES that I lose to rabbits in my garden…they make a nightly salad with the leaves….

Cheese is good…keep it handy…Swiss and Havarti do wonders for the disposition…and can you placate Farley with promises of elk bones when RW returns??

Maybe you and Penelope just need some quality time together–I'm telling you, read "Flawed Dogs" to her, and you'll be her hero forever. 🙂

    Hey you four!
Thanks for not calling me cuckoo.
I promise, I'll always blog on a full stomach in the future.

Thanks for the Jackrabbit love (sorry about the lilies CK). Thanks for being so sweet Dale. But this WAS a bad blog post. 🙂 Thanks also for reminding me to be gentle with myself.
And Jamie, thanks for the hypoglycemic solidarity. If I ever meet you in person, I'll be sure to pack along a pinch of cheese in my purse (Does anyone else do that? Cheese makes the world go round.).

CK, I'm off to B&N to buy Flawed Dogs. Is it anything like Farley Mowat's "The Dog Who Wouldn't Be"

RW and I read that one aloud and nearly died. It's so funny. AND we named Farley after Mister Mowat which is a sign that it can't be half bad. Right? Right.

That little tea pot is completely swoonworthy!

EGAT! That. Teapot. Is. Seriously. THE BEST PIN I'VE EVER SEEN… and don't even start me on crumpets. You handicrafts, Mrs Plume, are a wonderous!

I'm hypoglycemic also. I had to smile a little when you mentioned the slice of cheese. Cheese is my go to, fast protein source to get it all balanced out. LOVE the jackrabbit. I grew up in Nevada, and I miss seeing those guys hopping around.

Yikes, and you still posted feeling so weak…now I feel guilty.
Our frig is too full of food…and I am eternally thanking God everytime I open it because I know in Africa this may not be the case.
However, having said that, milk is scarce. My husband drinks milk like he was a newborn. And I am the one who sucks the hind tits…no milk for me!

    RW, come home now.

    xx

Never a bad blog, my dear. I love the teapot. I have a teapot design that been lurking in my sketh book for a while, but not as detailed & unusual as yours. You always take a design a few steps further & they always turn out beautifully.

I understand about being hypoglycemic. I know it's coming when I get really ill, not sick, but really irritated, then I start bumbling around.

    Hope you're feeling better.

    Pam

    Wonderful blog entry.
btw the teapot is pretty pretty and more pretty.

0___0 are you saying you did not have coffee in the morning?oh my gosh…

  12. You know…..my old nickname is "cheese" (think velveeta). I need to eat every 3-4 hours…or else I have serious Oscar the Grouch issues. LOVE that teapot! 🙂

    Yep.
I think I have 7 kinds of cheese stashed in my fridge, it kept me alive in the summertime!
