If you plan on traveling a long distance through a dangerous blizzard and snowdrifts the size of Greyhound busssssssssses, you’d best not wear this Jackrabbit Bracelet.
It boasts a filthy rich weight that will sink you down into the snow so deep, you may not see the light of day until spring comes around and melts your temporary tomb. I like living like the Inuit, from time to time, but an entire winter of igloo-ish life would reduce me to a pile of shivering bones. So consider yourself warned.
Behold the jackrabbit bracelet! WHEEE! She’s built of sterling silver and three hefty banded fluorite cabochons in hues of sunshine, alfalfa and amethyst.
Fresh and delightful!
Thumpity thump thump.
She’s been a true labor of love over the past couple of days. I was inspired to create this piece after quitting school a couple of weeks ago. So many of you wrote encouraging notes that blessed my decision in every way. So many of you affirmed me in my wildness, in my vocation and in my WILD VOCATION that I felt I needed to give you a pinch of wildness in return.
STAY WILD
FEEL YOUR FEET DRUM
FEEL YOUR HEART THRUM
BE NOT THEE TAMED
AMEN.
Don’t fear the unknown.
Have faith in your abilities.
Have faith in your gifts and hone them, with joy!
Have faith in the providence of God.
Your feet are swift.
Your heart is strong.
Your soul will last forever.
And most importantly, I believe in you.
We ALL believe in you.
So run free.
Stay wild.
Built for a 6.5ish inch wrist.
Built for us all.
:::EDIT:::
I was going to try to list the Rumors of the Sea series today
but I did not manage to photograph the entire batch of necklaces quite the way I’d like to and I
fear I’ve run out of time for camera work!
I’m off on a business trip to Arizona starting tomorrow morning
and have a handful of appointments to tend
to today so watch for the series upon my return!
Love to you all and
so long!
THE NOISY PLUME
You always seem to know just what to say and just how to say it. Beautiful work, wonderful message. I'm off to get a better look, enjoy your day.
love.
The bunnies that roam in your land are delicious, some with green butts, some silver, one never knows what to expect. This fellow is carrying his own nourriture, the hay and the alfalfa, what a wise wabbit!
Wish you a lovely trip, it would be greater if I were going there too to visit my best college friend, sigh, sigh… : )
Look forward to the sea creatures upon your return! Enjoy the day mademoiselle!
xx
Loving the bracelet. So happy to be in touch.
Have a lovely trip.

Business trip….snort!!!!!!
You're going to be soaking up sunshine and wallowing in aisle upon aisle of lovely cabs and beads….oh, that's right, that IS your business!
How cool is that??
I think you should go show them your jackrabbit. 🙂
Have a grand time!!!
I think that bracelet would give me much needed TRACTION to make my way up our snow filled street.
That's right … a heavy piece of silver and stone to provide strength.
oh jilly – so beautiful. Love this little wascal, and the stones are perfect! have a good trip. love you to pieces 😉
Just beautiful. I love the stones & I love, love, love the bunny. Rabbit used to be my power animal.
Pam
Maybe I'll see you in the aisles;) Pulling a very heavy, filled, cart? Oh what fun is in store this next two weeks here;) Have a wonderful time and can't wait to see the Sea series upon your refreshed, relaxed, return!
bravo!
Your rabbit series is great. I too love rabbits. Beautiful! Beautiful!
😉
Your jewelry is so beautiful. It makes me feel stupid about mine but that's ok! I love seeing all the different voices people have, and your voice sings.
Oh my gosh!
OH MY GOSH!
Don't ever say anything like that again about your creative efforts.
Good Lord. The first pieces of jewelry I made did NOT look like this rabbit bracelet or my humpback whale belt buckle. It's taken hours and hours and HOURS with a torch and a jewelers saw to get to this point with my designs. I wasn't always able to transpose creative ideas into actual metal and stone, quite like this.
Be patient with yourself.
Be patient with the work of your hands.
Take joy in being creative and don't compare the works of your heart to anyone else. That's just silly and it's not the point of creating.
Love to you this morning.
And courage, always, you dear, dear thing.
XO
J
…and to all the wonderful rest of you:
Thanks for your sweet, loving kindness. You're the wind in my sails and I appreciate it every time you stop by.
