A new buckle!
Finished minutes ago!
This one features a sturdy little mustang and the words:
GENTLED BUT NOT BROKEN
AS ALL WILD THINGS SHOULD BE
IF WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO HOLD THEM IN OUR HANDS AND HEARTS
This wild little horse bids thee:
Keep the sky in your heart.
Grow your mane long.
Let the stones trim your hooves as you run.
Built of sterling silver, Kingman turquoise and a big bright flame.
Made for a woman who is half wild and half lady.
Made for a woman who needs to be reminded that she can be held close but she doesn’t have to give up her freedom. There are some things we keep in our heart that cannot ever be taken from us.
OMGosh, Jillian. OMGosh.

LOVE your buckles, they are all kinds of gorgeous. <3!
Love the freckles on his butt and the mane not to mention a few other things too : )
oh, love it! Reminds me of the book I just read, Half Broke Horses.
Jillian, you outdid yourself! Wow!
Wowsers. Really amazing!
This silhouette is quite striking.

Wow! I love it. I love the buckle…she is gorgeous. The inscription is a truism. Sometimes life feels like it has chipped away parts of you that you wish you still retained. I love the wisdom of that saying. With time I like to think that we are 'gentled' and not broken. Although, I am sure at times we long for our unbriddled self that once roamed free.
Oh, her little butt! Lovely lovely. I like mr. Farley's butt too.
You know I'm a buckle fiend, right? And a horse fiend. And a turquoise fiend. This is just the most delicious buckle.
I'm having major pangs of desire right now.

IT'S A PONY!!! With a spotted butt just like my Kokopelli had! OMG. Oh I so need me one of these.
Now that's a nice buckle.

OH WOW I loves it in every way imaginable!!! precious. truly. meaningful beyond belief, my heart is singing a plaintive tune as I envision riding that pony through the tall and wavering-in-the-breeze wheatgrass………..
OhMyGoodNess I would fight someone for this buckle!!! (In the gentlest way possible of course…)
I think I may have to wear my wild horse buckle tomorrow!
Unbridled, unfettered, uncontrolled and totally unbelievable. Wow, Jillian! Could see that 'round my waist as I write…
Giddy up! You outdid yourself Jillian! {Wow}
and…nice use of Farley…
I have loved all of your jewelry and belt buckles. I feel connected to this one though. I love it dearly. I might use one of your photos for my desktop.
It looks thin, what gauge silver did you use?
Lovely work 🙂 your passion about your art shows in everything you make.
YEEHAW! Stunning ~
'I need this wild life, this freedom.'

PS…i hope someone by the name of…Sally…wins her.
Mustang Sally would have been nearly PERFECT for this buckle.
🙂
Thanks for all of these beautiful comments, my girls.
And Roselle, thank you for your incredibly couth comment. This buckle is composed of 19 gauge sterling (hand rolled from 18 gauge status). What you're looking at is a beveled edge, inside and out — thinned by file. I do apologize for the illusion of sterling anorexia.
