There was a wee-Korean-born-American playing in a spring creek on the side of a mountain.
There was the sound of mountain water.
There was a handsome mule deer doe looking up out from the sage.
There were horses.
There was Farley swimming for the nearest island.
There was Robert, my island.
There was some lazy lakeside behavior, bikinis, hot dogs, watermelon, cold drinks and sunscreen.
There was a bit of fishing.
There was the Snake River drifting away to the West, under the sunset.
There was even time to whip up a pair of friendship necklaces — oh goodness…..so grade four…I know.
There was so much time and so much time well spent, until it all ran out! Occasionally, I find that life is too full to even begin to explain. Last week was this ( ).
Lastly, I do apologize for shutting The Noisy Plume down without notice! She’s visit and RW’s arrival in Pocatello made it really impossible to do a good job of keeping up with the business realm and sometimes it’s best to just close up shop instead of recklessly responding to your kind notes and doing things half-way! Thank you for understanding! I’m all caught up now with emails and Etsy convos but if, for some reason, I have failed to respond to a note you fired my direction, please hit the resend button for me…my correspondence accounts were looking a bit like spaghetti for a few days!
Tomorrow it will be back to work, wonderful work!
I can hardly wait!
I hope you’re all well!
It’s so good to be flying with you again.
I love this flock.
xx
PLUME
PS Some might think that having a visit with a best friend coincide with a visit from my husband might be awkward and untimely but allow me to inform you of the fact that She and Robert were the best of friends when they attended Wheaton College just outside of Chicago 6 years ago. When I married that lumberjack of mine I sort of inherited her so we all got along like peas and carrots….or Canadians and Americans…or swans and swamps….
We love you too, Jillian and are so happy that you took time out for you and the special people in your life. You will be much more energized (not that you weren't always the most energetic person I know:O))and we all look forward to your new beauties!!!! Hugs to you and yes, I called Canada for you and told her to send you kisses:O)Sally

Angie: GUFFAW!!!!! Well I found mine in New Zealand…but he's originally a mountain man from California! Good luck!!!!!!!

MERCI mon amie for not showing my buck teeth in our photo. i mean, really. no one needs to see that.
the fine layer of idaho dirt is remains undisturbed on my skin. okay, so i've definitely showered since coming home, but i think i took your state in through my pores and it now flows in my blood.

I love reading about your life, because it makes me realize how equally wonderful, productive, joyful and precious mine can be.
