Adrift in the Puget Sound

I drove onto the ferry and then commenced to drift about the Puget Sound, across the water to Bainbridge Island.
All the while, I kept an eye out for the world’s largest octopus;
I heard it likes to nibble on miniature dachshunds.
I don’t want to tempt fate, but I reckon Penelope would look dashing
as an octopus garden installation.

JUST KIDDING.
I’d like to keep her soft and furry and cuddly and darling.
So I locked her up in the truck for this ferry trip.

Bainbridge ahoy!!!

  2. Love hearing about your travels! Thanks for taking such beautiful photos of my home town, Seattle. Love seeing it from your eyes!

  3. Oh, Jillian, you are making me homesick with the great photos of your travels. I am a transplanted west coast gal, who grew up just outside of Victoria. There is nothing like mountains and the ocean to feed your soul! (Too bad I'm now in Ontario!).

    Oh!
    I have been on that very ferry many a time, I purchased a very very lovely fused glass and white leather bracelet at a small boutique on Bainbridge that will always remind me of those trips ;o)

    There is a fabulous place to get breakfast foods…they serve fantabulous mimosas ;o)

    Have fun on your ferry-ing!

    I live on Bainbridge! Well, sorta. My parents live here. I'm visiting. I saw you outside of Blackbird Bakery today! I would have stopped and hallooed to you, but I was driving past, and didn't react in time! If you get a chance, take a drive down Manitou Beach Road- it's my favorite road on the whole island. Oh- and if you like blackberries, (who doesn't?) there's great pickin' at Battle Point Park. Enjoy your stay on the Island!!

    I find my feathers to be quite ruffled from my inability to fly to you when you were here. Will Fall be kind to me and allow me a trip to the Gables? Let us will it to the wind.

    I miss you.
