Ruby Red

Bonjour!
It’s only 10AM but I’m going to give this day a big bright fantastic for the following reasons!
 Ruby red.
There’s nothing like fabulous citrus in the winter.
Watching RW eat ruby red.
He always does the weirdest things with his cutlery and I can’t help but laugh out loud.
It’s fascinating.  I liken it to watching someone hold a pencil in a bizarre fashion whilst drawing or writing.  Weird.
Hanging on to the Farlinator, feeling thankful for his animal warmth, the kindness in his amber eyes and realizing that taking a bit of animal therapy throughout the day is very good for my cellulars and my soul.
Stepping outside into frigid weather and wandering through beautiful wind formed snow drifts on an early morning walk with the puppies.
Being bundled up!  I hate summer clothing.
I love being swaddled in layers and layers of clothes.
It gives me an excuse to wear everything I love all at once.
Watching Pene plough through snow that is deeper than she is tall!
That’s some cute weenie action.  Trust me.
I’ve promised that I’ll crochet her a little sweater this week.
The wind continues to blow fiercely in sharp gusts.  It picks up snow crystals and suspends them in the air and the world is glittering as far as I can see.
Winter is so darn magical.
Talulah at the curb wearing a perfectly white winter coat.
Silver, behind her, with perfect icicle fangs coming off the front grill.
Coming inside after our wintery stroll with frosted and frozen hair tips, dumb lips and rosy cheeks.  Feeling like my pores have been scrubbed clean.
Fixing cups and cups of tea to warm up.
Dark chocolate hot chocolate made with milk on the stove top in a sauce pan.
Pumpkin soup for lunch.
I’ve put on my Ugg boots, tights, tall socks, a corduroy mini skirt, plaid flannel button up, my favorite toque and a pair of earrings.
I’m going out to the studio.

xx
P.

PS  Did I tell you that last night we made a crazy pilgrimage out to the hot springs where we soaked for a couple of hours?  The steam billowing off the pools made thick white walls in the night.  I kept my head above water but still had hair icicles within minutes.  We had to dunk our ears in the pools to stop them from freezing in the wind! It was fabulous!  Come over tonight, we’ll do it again.

PSS  Thanks for your lovely comments on Typewriter Tuesday.  I’m feeling much better of body, soul and mind today. xx

To go with a lower post…
I understand about your body, hope you can figure it out. WE are a gluten free family, and went that way because of my 1st daughters skin rashes and her being exceptionally small. She is doing MUCH better now, as are we all, but it is so hard sometimes to always have to think ahead for what to eat, and cook it all by hand and buy SUPER expensive ingredients… all the while being STARVING to the point of feeling faint and snappish at everyone while you wait for it all to cook.
SO…whew, that was a long comment.
All in all, May the Lord Bless you with EXCPETIONAL health and wisdom to know what to eat. ;0)

  11. Ahhhhhh, what a treat! That grapefruit made my mouth water and the outdoor scenes conjured that bracing crisp indefinable scent of snow. You, meanwhile, look ready to mush! I'll send you my team, because they're ready to run.

  15. ahhhh, you exude such happiness from within that parka!

    much love!

  16. Jillian, you look amazing as usual! I will be going to New York City in mid December and am wondering what you're wearing in that picture. I am from the tropics and have no idea what the winter weather will be like in New York City. I just need to get an idea what you're wearing so I can bring the appropriate clothes, lol! Thanks in advance!

Windy: Ah! We are cut from the same cloth!!!

    Lyd: Thanks, sweets! xx

Corinna: If only you could see it in person!!!

V: Oh lady…you know it. The thyroid business is tricky tricky! Be well! xx

Syb: !!! You need to do a snow dance!

Twiggy: Well. Check the coat section at TJ Maxx before you do anything else and then go to the juniors section at Nordstrom. By the way, what size are you??? I have a long red wool winter coat with beautiful detailing that I might be willing to part with! Email me:)

MLJ: Oh dear. Well the weirdness is probably all in my mind…but RW has a knack for doing weird things with his hands sometimes…just ask Kristen. She'll tell you all about it.

Melissa: That coat is the coziest of all my coats. This is the truth. xx

Doro: I wonder which dog, out of all of ours, can run the fastest…..

    Bonbons: Perhaps a puffin??? 🙂

Lulu: Back at you, babe. xx

Gnoriep: Well, in the snow photo, I am wearing a pair of sorel boots, ski socks, jeans (as soon as I stepped outside I found myself wishing I would have put on a pair of long johns), a flannel button down shirt, a short sleeved wool sweater, a long down parka, a toque and leather/shearling lined mittens!

But, this was a rather cold day. I'm not sure what the weather is like in NY….if you're in the tropics, you had best bundle up!!! It's going to feel quite cold to you:)
