Small but mighty.
Built of sterling, iolite (in that stormy, all knowing, fading and thrumming indigo hue) and 14 carat gold.
Inspired by the ring Jaime gave Claire (though it’s really nothing of the sort).
Wear one and make a promise to yourself.
Wear one and make a promise to another.
In the shop later today.
Oh goodness gosh! How delightful! <3
ooooh.
sentimental concept and lovely outcome.
xo
These tickle the bottom of my heart! Glad to see you are feeling better! xx
ps-did you know that my character verification word said "dinglup"…how funny is that?
Thanks ladies! xx
MONA!!!: Another ridiculous word verification! Yours might be my favorite though…ever…
If I didn't already have a wedding ring, I would pick one of these.
I wonder if Alex would like to get married again?
I think you should marry your man at least 10 times in your lifetime.
Just saying…
my hearts a achin'
a promise to self, that someday i'll be able to gobble up another one of your precious pieces.
its been years, sigh.
LOVE!
I LOVE these rings of beauty!!!!
My lovely 10 year anniversary is coming up, and my husband is all a fret about what to get me…. Is it wrong to pick out my own jewelry? If not, he wanders to the Kohl's fine jewelry department….sigh… he tries.
Laura
Ok, my hubby just said to pick out the ring as a gift from him! Okay, now all I have to do is stay awake long enough!
Oh, perfection.
*laughing* I repeated your sentiment about marrying your man at least ten times to hubby and he looked perfectly mortified.
Then again, our 'simple' day went something like this: misplaced rings; heated argument in airport; quick stop at Barnes and Noble for coffee, where I had my first ever panic attack (and thought perhaps I was having a heart attack!); minister gets lost and is nearly an hour late; we both forget our vows and poor minister tries in vain to coax them from us; my mother-in-law's camera cocks up and only four photos come out–the rest were superimposed by images of SQUIRRELS!!; hubby wanted us to save money on our flights so he used points from other trips and we each ended up flying home on a different plane with a different airline!
And to round out this 'auspicious' day, I got asked out on a date by one of the flight attendants as I was getting off the plane! (You can imagine how ridiculous I sounded, telling him I just got married… with no ring and no husband!!)
Hard to believe it'll be 12 years in March!
Thanks ladies, thanks!!!
Your comments are very appreciated!
And Ash, our wedding day was just as crazy with RW very sick and a quick drive over the mountains to a chapel in Reno…RW drove over a curb in downtown Reno like a madman while trying to get to a gas station for some nyquil and we nearly perished in a crazy blizzard while crossing back over Donner Pass in the middle of the night.
Last year, we finally went on our honeymoon and we took separate flights as well, for the same reasons!!! I kept telling people I was going on my 6 year late honeymoon to Hawaii….and they kept looking at me like, "Yeah, right lady…where the heck is your husband???"
HA HA!!!!!
Oh, that's too funny, Jillian. Ours sounds like an episode of Keeping up Appearances, while yours is straight out of Dukes of Hazzard!! (Can I just say hearing your story makes me feel a little better?!! All my friends/family have had perfectly 'normal' weddings. It did start to feel like the Universe was conspiring against us!)
We haven't been brave enough to go on a honeymoon (didn't seem prudent to tempt the gods), let alone try the whole wedding thing again. Besides, hubby knows that this time round I might just take the hunky flight attendant up on his offer!! Ha!
(Don't worry. Hubby is leaning over my shoulder as I type this, rolling his eyes…and, yup, I can read his mind: he's wondering how soon he can change my 'permanent resident' status to 'semi-permanent'!!!)
yayyy!!!! Jamie ans Claire inspired work! <3
OH MY GOODNESS! I hope you are inspired to make these over and over again so all the Outlander fans (including, but not limited to myself) can snatch them up! Gorgeous!
I love the rings pictured…who is the artist? I am looking for a "wedding ring" a 1 1/2 yrs after the fact. Aww heck…my mom finally found hers (and it is so HER) with her 46th anniversary on the horizon. 🙂
Maile: The Noisy Plume made those rings….and I'm The Noisy Plume. 🙂
