I planted my first veg garden this year and did potted plants all around our house (I got the same hanging baskets that you have I think) for the first time here, only because I've conceded to the likelyhood that we'll be living here for a long time, otherwise I would have done this sooner. Chloe helped me a lot, and I even let her have her own potted flower, a hot pink bagonia. She loves it so much and talks to 'her' every day, and tells her how beautiful she is. It must be working because she's doing really well!!
out in here in the country…not far from the sea…things grow gloriously…being a lover of all breeds of succulents, i happily live in the perfect climate and have the precise grey thumb…all grows wonderfully here…and now beets, carrots, cucumber, basil (bien sur), mint, tomatoes galore…just to name a few have found their way to grow, grow, grow on this hillside land i call my home…love those flowers you have growin' tho…;)
To be honest, I've never really tried to have my own garden since my mom has about every non-used bit of yard space now covered in growing things. But I have on occasion tried to grow my own little plants on my desk. My cats either eat them or the containers get knocked down and then I have to get dirt out of the carpet. It's cruel. ;.;
My garden grows in my front window – rosemary and thyme, basil and sage, mixed with begonias, hen and chicks, ornamental leafy greens. All throwing their leaves up against the window, begging for the wind and the rain.
The weeds in my garden are absolutely FLOURISHING 😉
My gosh.
I know.
It's a good fight.
stunning
for now, dreams of acquiring 'the secret garden' will have to do! 😉
I come from a long line of gardeners its in my bones.
…it's kind of in your name too. 🙂
Mine now belongs to another – the neighbors say he's not a good steward (as does the letter from the old HOA mgr. – forwarded).
Apparently he's trying to give away the fruit trees and crape myrtles.
I do not like these reports very much, and glad I am not to see what he does. Boo.

My garden was growing quite nicely thank you….until a big hail storm beat the crap out of it yesterday! Ah well, all the more beautiful when it heals.
