[sterling, ocean jasper, pearl, Methow River rock & carved turquoise]
There was a maelstrom.
When I sat down to work in the midst of that maelstrom, I felt something stronger rise up. Something stronger than all of the whirl and heave of waters and gravity. And then some beauty fell out and I knew I’d make it through.
I’m drinking fresh air.
I’m cleaning out my junk drawers.
I’m going to do a better job of choosing wisely.
Here’s a ring for you.
It won’t stop bullets
but it’s massively totemic.
Let it remind you to always rise up.
Rise up.
And rise up again.
Your wings may be tattered, but your heart is whole.
I promise.
beautiful!
my most favourite yet!

Have a great Day!

so beautiful.
This series is one of my very favorites!!

Thanks ladies! x
incredibly beautiful creation x
How beautiful. I adore the little butterfly at the bottom, staring up at the darker stones, knowing they loom, yet keeping his little wings spread despite the odds of…well…being smooshed.
An amazing and encouraging work once more. ^-^
The turquoise flutterby added such a cute charm to this piece. Perhaps he may have a relative appearing in a future piece? =3
Beautiful!

Soulfully, perfectly beautiful.
I do adore this series of yours…the way that you fearlessly create with items that most artists wouldn't give a second glance. I love that you see the value in the inconsequential, beauty in the mundane.
Rise up, sister!

That ring is breathtaking!
I just went to your shop and I see it sold! I am not surprise. It's gorgeous!
Hey! Thanks for these comments chickadees!
Elizabeth: No. I only had one butterfly. You won't see a little stone like this again!
B: I'm not the first to use found objects in jewelry. It's kind of…old news. 🙂
Thanks for your sweetness, as always.
That is a BEAUTY! My favorite of this series, so far.

Hey! Thanks Doro! I think it's my favorite too — at least…making it allowed me to detach myself from some heavy grief. There's something powerful about this one…
Wow, utterly breath taking!
seeing this ring, and reading your words are all I needed right now, I feel trapped in the maelstrom right now and this is all I needed for inspiration, motivation to just keep going. one step at a time.
Thank you SO much.
Beka: Ah yes. Plant your feet. Stand firm. This too shall pass. x
