Sometimes I don’t think I can love Idaho more than I do.
Then I go on a cattle drive with, quite literally, one thousand cows and about fifty cowboys and cowgirls keeping those bovine babes on the straight and narrow…
and then I love it a little more than I did before.
Here are some moments I captured this morning:
For all the beauty, these are magnificent captures!
I would imagine every ones bums are hurting a bit for the hard work and long ride… when I drove cattle with my grandpa' I recall a a bone and bum aching that still make me cring just a bit, yet it was worth it. And THIS was very special to see, thank you for sharing J.
oh my lord i do LOVE me a cowboy! phew yes…
looks like a magical day.
My dear Mistress of Plume Gables… what an interesting life you lead. Please publish a book so we can peruse you daily meanderings and prosetry and poetry as we see fit… with pictures. I know your blog does this, but your photography and prose and poetry…well, sometimes I want it lying next to my bedside for inspiration and positivity…
Wild day in Idaho! You're a real cowgirl!
I've never seen anything like this before!
My kitchen may very well look like that at night while I'm sleeping…
only with mice.
Gaa! I so badly want(ed) to be a part of this. Thank you for sharing it. Looks like a long soak in the tub is in your future.
Gorgeous indeed! I love the shot of the horse with his/her bridle decortated with silver stamped hearts…beautiful details in leathework and silver smithery for such a gorgeous animal! The textures and rich colors of the leather on the saddles and chaps are so lovely. I feel inspired to craft something as rich and warm, with a wild west Idaho spirit! It must have been a fabulous morning!
I agree with Jenn!
Yes, please, a book of words, images and some of your cowgirl faerie dust. xo
i can only imagine: your heart was soaring and your soul is joyful beyond belief!
[once upon a time in montana, i was fortunate enough to participate in a cattle drive. it is my fondest memory of living there….]
xx
Wow. I love Idaho a bit more now too. xoxo
Lovely, lovely. The last one is my fav. along with the horse with the sweet hearts on its reigns. x
Oh, WOW, girl, those pictures with showing the herd taken against the light!! Loved these.
I've seen wild herds of horses in Nevada. I'll never forget that.
Oh wow, I didn't realize they still do that over there!
Your photos are amazing, I especially love the gentle morning light in the first one.
These photos could be stills from an old western. Beautiful!
Wow Wow Wow, such gorgeous images x
