xx
Oh that “please mum, cuddle me” face!
It’s cold here too – but not THAT cold!
brrrrr.
sending you love and hugs (sounds like you might need them)
xx
Poor you!! A coffee-less morning makes me shudder!
Water just came on!!! Coffee for lunch!
Cute kittie!! Glad your coffee is flowing….
I’m glad the water came back on so you can have your coffee (I’m detoxing this week – so haven’t had one since Monday, I’m surviving after 2 days of withdrawal headaches!&?!) and get warm! We’ve had the heat on here for over a week now. I was going to suggest that you just stay curled up in your bed with your lovely kitty… XX
Love the idea of a day in bed with Rhubarb. Love it.
Why didn’t you just start a wood fire and boil some water? I do when the power goes out. Glad your water is back on.
Tom, I would have been GLAD to do just this sort of thing! But LCITW does not have a wood stove…or any kind of heating for that matter (I have imported a space heater though…). I’m trying to convince Kat to put in a wood stove. It’s just such a tiny space…I think a wood stove might be too overpowering. This cabin is sort of the size of a sauna.
your pioneering spirit never ceases to perform well in these dire situations. plus, you look good doing it.
Never too small for a woodstove. Our little cabin is only 400 square feet and the woodstove is our only source of heat, just have to get a little woodstove. 🙂
I hope you’re right! The bottom level of this cabin is 144 square feet — it will have to be a mighty small stove! Just boiling water in the kettle on the hot plate warms this place up!
lady; i have so much i would like to say about that last post. but i won’t. i’ll save it for a letter or a real time talk. it made me want you to have an iphone so i could text you RIGHT THEN when i read your amazing words. i wanted you to have a huge hug from me – IN THE MOMENT. i hope you felt it anyway. you are strong. you are beautiful. you are amazing.
((post script: my parents finally arrived from their cross country trek & we are entertaining – my letter writing has been postponed, but i’ll try to carve out sometime for my pen pal sprite soon.))
xxxooo
I FELT IT! XX
Just wanted to let you know that the photos on your previous post are so beautiful that they take my breath away! As far as hunting… go for it young lady! I fish, and they are basically the same thing. We all have to eat, and while I have no problem with vegetarians, I’m getting slightly, slightly annoyed at being lectured to.
You are a breath of fresh air and an inspiration to this woman who is old enough to be your mother! I wish we could share a pot of tea on my part, and coffee on yours.
Thanks chickadee!!!
Hope this is a warm and lovely week for you. 🙂 I learned a lot from your last post. You have a beautiful and honorable spirit toward nature and earth’s creatures.
Thanks for thinking so, Sandra!
