Sketching Spring

[sterling silver, 23 karat gold, copper & enamel]

I really love this design.  It’s substantial, modern, airy, slightly abstracted, with a wonderful combination of warm and cool color.  And boy howdy, does it ever look elegant on.  It’s like a sketch of spring, in metal and glass: the tumble of flower skeletons against swoops of wind, the emergence of pods and the rumple of buds, the promise I hear as the willows knock their hollow hearts together and beg for gowns of green.
