Woo! It’s gearing up to be a hot summer here, too. July and August will bring 100F days. 🙂 I’ll be spending my afternoons and evenings on the river or at the lake when the time comes.
These skies are truly breathtaking, but my heart is stolen by the mesmerizing purple-flowered, star-leaved, silvery-soft silhouettes of the flowers. Also – hi Penelope! Good to see you again (all of you, in fact).
And to inhale the rich colours & welcoming space of your current happiness :o)
Cabin! Love the details you have set up already and, of course, the bright and shiny Airstream. Wish I had the guts to be able to move around like you do! I’m sure it is not as effortless as it looks – all the best to the start of your summer!
Your photos just keep getting better and better. Seriously. I’m always amazed by your craftsmanship, and it seems like you’re just perfecting your craft in photography. Thanks, always, for sharing your life and your view with us 🙂
Megan, thank you. I’m working hard at it. One of the best things about freelancing these past couple of years in the outdoor industry is that I can see my craft growing in leaps and bounds. It’s an exciting time in my life, with regards to camera work!
The “blue period” like Picasso….so many blue, love it. I cheated and looked at your Flickr’s pictures and saw them already…you get better and better which is fabulous because no one will ever get bored with your pictures even if they have “a signature” a “real personality”.
I wish you a great Summer in WA, I wish us more pictures and jewelery to look at.
Right now in BC (your northern neighbor) the weather as turned momentarily to Autumn but Summer is around the corner…
PS:The little cabin looks really cute bu the way.
Your airstream looks amazing. And those clouds! I’ve been reading your blog for over a year now, and I just thought I’d drop in and say how much I enjoy following along on your unique adventures. I love to see people who don’t take the normal route in life.
10 months ago we moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to a small mining town in northwestern Ontario for my boyfriend’s job…and we will likely continue to move from remote location to remote location. So cheers to untouched wilderness and taking the road less traveled!
Awwwww – nice to see Miss Pene again! Traveling Mercies granted and it looks like you have had safe journeys and are settling in for the summer at least. Things are looking great there at your end. Happy days to you, Robert and the kids!!!
golly.
i’m behind the times.
just now visiting my favourite blog!
love all the postcard scenes, espcially penelope on the tarmac, and you on that crazy chartreuse loveseat, and robert on his tricycle with all the dogs in tow.
sigh….hot weather….we are seeing exceptionally hot weather in our hinterland area of alaska.
it’s just too much, especially for *this girl* who just retired from 39+ years of night shift..!!
but the weather is so good for the garden, and good for my soul, even though i deny it.
may your summer continue to be one continual postcard..!!

Looks lovely! Considering it’s 90 degrees in the shade here in the southwest, I wish I WAS there! 😉

You make moving house at least twice a year look easy or at the very least picturesque! Love the shot of your windowsill.
It comes with it’s trials and tribulations, don’t be fooled!

I know. The lupin. Anyone who lives where the lupin grows lives a life tinged with violet grace.
The green, the green! … and my fave, Penelope!
Pene sends her adoration!
Washington looks just gorgeous!! Love the tricycle and the new studio space!! Such beautiful pictures of the land, sky and nature. <3
I know. Robert on that trike is something ridiculous and special. Each time I see him riding it I can’t help but laugh aloud.
Jillian!
Your pictures are so lovely and that SKY! Gorgeous. As per your usual. By the way, who’s the new weenie? Looks adorable.
xx,
Cathy
That’s Penelope! Still! She’s starting to go pretty white in the face…
Oh my goodness, I barely recognized her!!

It’s a good life though moving around a couple of times a year is pretty taxing on me. I make the most of it, as best as I can.

Thank you for being here.
That part of the world looks absolutely divine. I wish I was there too! Thanks for sharing your beautiful captures with us! xx
I’m glad to transport you with my camera! But you should try to experience it first hand sometime… 🙂
Vibrant season! Penelope!…and I liked reading the comments on your Flickr pages too…thank you…
Bless you for saying that. I finally feel like I can make TIME to add captions to my Flickr images again. We’ve just been living such full lives… X
Always love seeing that sweet Penelope! Your photographs make me homesick.
She’s our lovey-doodle. And come over, any time. X

That tiny dog! I’m in love. Your dog photos are some of my absolute favorites, no matter the dog.
