Happy belated solstice, everyone! The dogs and I celebrated by taking a really, very, extremely long walk and then we slept in the dirt in a big shivering pile while the golden crescent moon poured its delicate light down onto this beautiful earth. The shortest night of the year seemed to go on forever and it would be a lie to say it was restful but it sure was superfluously grand. Onward into the holiness of these shrinking summer days!
How will we fit everything in?
I’ve been following you on instagram for some time but just found your blog. Beautiful photos as always! What hike is this? Since moving to Seattle from Vermont, we are constantly itching to get outside and the Methow is one of our favorite places to go. Always excited about exploring new trails with our dog. I’d love to meet you and check out your studio next time we are in the Methow…
Welcome here!
I walked into Oval Lake on this jaunt.
Shoot me an email if you are ever in the valley! I’d love to have you swing by. X
I have been on a quest for animal print leggings. These are to die for! Looking fast standing still.
Teeki!!!
You can find them on Backcountry.com on sale sometimes…they’re a splurge for me. So spendy…but such cute prints.
I love your trout hat!!!! I need it in my life.
Why thank you!

What a wonderful-shiver-y way to celebrate the solstice with all the pups! Beautiful land, beautiful photos!
I can’t complain. It was a great time.
Love your blog so much 🙂
Thank you for being here.
It appears that you have found a spot. I find having a special place to rest your bones, mind and soul is imperative. Thanks for sharing. Happy Summer.
I plan on finding MANY spots this summer as I have vowed to never do the same hike twice! XX
