Very interesting post, especially about the water (I live on an island in BC and we have limited water resources), I thought “well, she is from Saskatchewan, she knows about hay”……but the water part is interesting…the picture are beautiful and even if it is a lot of work you look great and happy. Hope one day you can get your tractor to do everything yourself!!!!
The smell is so heavenly, wafting in through the open window at night. So sweet. Handlines are really hard work. I haven’t done it. I’ve only seen people doing it and think, what a noble venture to water that crop. Take care of yourself.
Beautiful photos. You’ve inspired me to take some of my own. We also grow hay but it only gets to waist height. It’s not irrigated and is cut once a year just before summer (I’m in Australia).
