Greetings and Salutations!

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope your weekend was splendiferous! I have a couple of announcements to make and then I’ll show you what I whipped up today (ohsopretty).
Thank you THANK YOU to everyone who left a comment on the jam giveaway post! You were all such good sports! I wish I could send each and every one of you a can of the good stuff but then I wouldn’t have anything to spread on Mister Plume’s toast in the morning. So, without further adieu, using a random number generator and the help of a lovely friend (thanks Michele), the jam and jelly winners are:
To claim your prize, please zip me an email with your shipping address and your preference (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) of jelly or jam (concord grape, ginger peach, plum or pear) to:
thenoisyplume@gmail.com
Easy peasy!

Ok. And now the stuff.
Today, among other things, I finished these rings.

A Soul Garden Ring featuring a collector’s cut of Tiffany Stone from Utah. You know how I feel about Tiffany Stone so all I’m going to say is this ring made me flop over into a dead faint in the kitchen this afternoon. Humph. It’s got all the shebangs and sheboings. Rock ’em sock ’em.
I DON’T KNOW WHY I JUST TYPED THAT.

This little cutie features a great cut of turquoise with all kinds of bits and pieces flanking the stone. It has an overall Asian-fusion (like orange chicken but better for you) soul to it and feels great on.

A little river ring featuring a smooth cut of lapis lazuli, sterling corduroy, 14 carat gold and some leaves and berries. Svelte and sweet.

And oh humdinger. A Prairie Soul Ring with a teardrop of Peruvian pink opal, a bezel set berry and a sheaf of wheat.
I’ll be updating the Etsy shop tomorrow, probably around noon. Sorry to switch my listing day around on you, I’ve got a house guest until Friday and things needed to be shifted around a bit!
Hope Monday was sweet to you all.
I love your souls,
PLUME

For the Fingers

Clockwise from the top left: rhodonite, poppy jasper, imperial jasper, Montana agate
You’d find these new rings in the Etsy shop in just a jiff!

Thanks to EVERYONE who stopped in at The Noisy Plume to support me today.
I love you so much. Each one of you.
Thanks with all my heart,

Distractions

There are more distractions at Plume Gables, Pocatello, Idaho than I can count with both my hands. The biggest of them all is the studio cat.

Mister Pinkerton is always in the way.
The cows eat him for hay.
Mother eats him in her sleep, she thinks she’s eating shredded wheat.
He’s always in the way.

The good news is that studio cat did not prevent me from making these on Friday, despite his greatest attempts at redirecting my already meandering mind and begging for a wedge of tuna:

[druzy agates, faceted carnelian & sterling silver]
I spent my weekend climbing with dear old Sue in the Pocatello Pump. It was good fun, my arms are sore and I did a heap of climbing which is very good for me, indeed. Additionally, RW arrived home last night after a long roll to Utah (17 days on that ridiculous fire), FINALLY. I almost forgot what he looks like but now I remember. Sigh. Currently, there’s a prevailing sense that life is very good. September marks a serious drop in temperature in the evenings in these beauteous little foothills and it’s nice to feel cozy in my bed at night instead of too warm for comfort!
Hope your weekend was downright nifty!
I’m off to stock the Etsy shop with some tidbits,
I’ll see you there.
Love and cozy sweaters,
PLUME

Ooh la la!

I’ve got a bounty of goodies to share with you today but I have two items in particular that I’d like to show you before I head over to the shop to do some listing!

First off, I must be under the spell of fall and Vincent Van Gogh because these earrings were born of both. I’ve been hoarding these ocean jasper cabochons since February and they look, rather explicitly, like Van Gogh’s Starry Night in both coloration as well as the orbicular patterning in the stones! I confess, I crush. Hard. Head over heels.
I’ve set the stones in simple bezels but as you can see, I’ve draped a set of fox tails from the base of the earring for a whole lot of musical swing and sway. These earrings are beautiful. I’m planning on listing them today…but if I don’t…it’s because I wasn’t quite ready to part with them yet. I hope you understand.

Also, I set a champagne druzy and an ivory fresh water pearl in separate settings for this necklace. It’s a choker drop style though I did add an extender chain that pushes the chain length out to 21 inches total — very versatile. I left the fox tail with a dark patina for some zingy contrast and satin finished the rest of the piece. It feels extraordinary on and and when I look at it, I feel as though it’s a really cohesive design — nice flow in this one between the components.

Ooh! I love it.

I hope you’re all very well indeed on this fine fine Thursday. Yeesh. I’m on pins and needles waiting for my new typewriter to arrive. Can you believe this:
I won a vintage Remington on Ebay back on August 20th and I’ve been hyperactive-ly excited about starting Confessions of Typewriter Tuesday once more (I haven’t been able to do these posts since that dratted show in Missoula poured an entire storm cloud straight into my beloved, vintage Underwood and seized up the mechanics…the keyboard action is downright filthy at the moment). Apparently, because the typewriter is difficult to package, the seller decided to NOT ship it until yesterday (What the hay?) after I had sent her a handful of messages about the silly thing. Humph.
Penelope is being quite annoying at the minute.

There will be much rejoicing whenst (not a real world) it finally arrives.
See you in a few avec les nouveaux bijoux!
XO
:::EDIT:::
Crikey! You chickies are some serious snipers!
Thanks to everyone who made an appearance at the Etsy shop update today!
As usual, I’m starving (I forsook breakfast this morning for photography and I’m going straight to lunch now) and I don’t have any socks on (you knocked them off). Your support means the world to me. Thanks thanks thanks.
Love,
The Noisy Plume

So Ladylike It’s Almost Crass:

That’s the name of this brooch:

Ridiculously coquettish. Jocose and jangly. Built of sterling silver, 14 carat gold and one ivory, cultured freshwater pearl.

I rather like that jangly little bit — looks like the bushy tail of a fox. Oh yes. A fox. Foxy.

I gave this beauty a complete patina and then satin finished the upper section of the piece making for a truly striking contrast…ooh….it’s melting in my hand it’s so darn womanly and feminine and tough and delicate and strange and smooth….and foxy.

That grandiose window in the center of the piece lets your jacket shine through, or sweater or scarf. Ooh! Even MORE contrast! Delightful! Best of all, this piece moves beautifully when worn. It’s so stable and fixed but so flexible and balletic.

I kept this little version for myself. The design concept is the same but I set mine with a little faceted cut of carnelian because really, a girl can never wear too much orange.

Off to update the Etsy shop! See you there mwah mwah!
PS Just had this note arrive by Etsy convo:
Lord deliver me from temptation–or make my fingers fast if you won’t do the former.”
GOOD GRACIOUS. It had me rolling around on the floor laughing!
