Dearest ladyfolk (and to the handful of gentlebeards who read this blog):
Thanks so much for your well wishes! I took the day gently yesterday and am finding that I can move my right hand much easier today. Additionally, my right arm has stopped burning and throbbing. My legs are something no one should have to ever see so I’m keeping them under wraps but recovery is quick. Thanks for all your comments, emails and convos yesterday and today! It’s probably not as bad as you imagine, but for the moment, I feel rather beat up.
In case you were wondering, I fell, headfirst, downhill, onto a pile of rocks…it was for a good reason though! I was looking around at the budding leaves and blue sky and snow capped mountain peaks and probably thinking prayerful thoughts simultaneously when the tragic accident occurred.
It would be far more interesting to say I was attacked by a pregnant hippopotamus while on a dangerous safari but that would be a lie. I try not to lie.  It’s unattractive.
I am updating the Etsy shop today!
I’m also planning on dropping a few custom order request listings in el shoppito in the week to come.  This month has been rather irregular and every time I find my footing I manage to slide right back down the slope again be the slippery-ness caused by a broken computer or a broken body!  I had a lovely lady in Australia request that I NOT announce the time when I’ll be putting the custom listings in the Etsy shop to make the winning of one a more serendipitous event (also a bit easier for those who live WAY outside of my timezone and do not feel inclined to perch in front of their computer monitors like hawks).  So this week, a couple of custom request listings will arrive in the Etsy shop at random times on random days!  I hope YOU get one!
I love it when you treat me like I’m human and allow me so much grace
when life throws it’s unexpected curve balls at me.  So thanks for that!  It makes
the tough times much easier to get through.
Alright, I’m off to list the new goodies!
On the mend,
Jillian

I’m still in my studio…

…and the day is still young:

[sterling silver & freshwater peacock pearl]

[carnelian & sterling silver]

[kyanite, carnelian, purple chalcedony & sterling silver]
:::EDIT:::
Oh dear. I meant to post these last night but I had a little accident while running in the hills and as a result the right side of my body feels and looks like it was mauled by something large and woolie.  I’ll try to get everything in the shop sometime today.  Thanks, as usual, for your gorgeous patience!

Wedded Bliss

[Prairie Soul Ring::turquoise & sterling silver]
I had the most astounding weekend!  It just ended this morning.  We had friends in from Portland here at Plume Gables and life was a riot.
Katie and Sean are engaged to be married in August and the main reason for their visit (besides seeing RW and I and cuddling Penelope to the point of death-by-smothering) was for me to do a little workshop with them out in my studio.  Yesterday I spent many happy hours helping them craft their wedding bands from scratch.  I was very busy trying to prevent disaster and was not able to photograph any of the work BUT luckily, Sean is a professional photographer (he shoots people doing stuff outside for all sorts of outdoor gear companies and magazines) so he managed to record, en images, the entire experience which I will be glad to share with you in the near future.  It was so fun and SO fulfilling.  The rings and the entire experience were our wedding gifts to them and I tell you, they were very easy and happy gifts to give!
I’m settling into work today and will be banishing myself to the studio in 15 minutes.  I hope you’re all having a lovely week so far!
I’ve got to fly!
XO
