Have I told you about my other, other, other, OTHER job? I suppose I haven’t. A few months ago Skookum Dog asked me to shoot for them and I said yes! They are a wonderful (to the exponential power of one million) Seattle based company that makes good and strong gear for dogs! Them and I? Well we’re a match made in heaven! I’ve had so much fun shooting for them and the dogs are wild for Skookum everything, as you can see in this photograph. Farley goes berserkers every time a Skookum box lands on the front porch here. It would be inexplicable except it’s practically a law of physics that good dogs get stoked for good gear.
What do I personally and sincerely have to say about this company (and I should note, I am not being paid to say this)? It’s a total pleasure to work for them, they are down to earth people who design and create with conviction. They love nature. They love dogs. Additionally, it’s immensely wonderful to be part of a business, in my own small way, that is crafting everything in the good old USA — with the exception of their tennis balls, those are made in England. That’s something to be proud of and it’s something to SUPPORT.
All I can say is that your pup, if you have one, is going to need some sausage links in his Christmas stocking this year.
Bow wow.
