I’m finally back in the studio working after almost two months away and it feels pretty great. I bought these rose cut garnets in September and wasn’t sure I’d like working with tiny faceted stones like this so I started with some small, simple ideas. However, the verdict is in. I’m a fan. They’re precious stones. Luminous pomegranate seeds. Slips of bedazzlement. And in such wondrous, juicy hues. Look at that color! I set these stones on heavy 16ga sterling so even though they’re tiny pendants, they have a really pleasant weight to them.

These are the Petit Bateau Necklaces — little boats to float your hopes. They’ll be in my shop on the 20th of November.

Jingle and Sway

Red Dirt Road

Like a bluebird sky smiling down on a red dirt road. Turquoise and Italian coral — classic and simple. These little necklaces are bound for my shop shelves on Friday around 10AM (mst) with a bevy of other one of a kind pieces I’ve been previewing for you over the past few weeks. I hope to see you there!

To Pass Through

I’m enjoying making and wearing big, airy hoops lately. When I wear them, I have a constant sense of the way the wind moves through them — as though they are wind chimes giving slightly, this way and that, to invisible currents — and I try to envision myself moving through the world in the same way. Light and airy. Passing though. Direct but soft. Smooth and elegant. Directional drifting dictated by things I cannot see and my own inklings and intuitions. Never off my course. Always fluttering in a chosen direction. A star in the sky. A leaf on a creek. A sagebrush in the breeze.

Wear them. You’ll see what I mean.

Blue Cluster

A new cluster ring built with heavy sterling silver and seven cuts of Blue Ridge Turquoise. This is good, clean, enduring work. She’s bound for my shop next week. The day and time will depend on when Robbie is home for his 2 days off — stay tuned! I appreciate your continued patience, flexibility, and kindness while we come to the end of this growing season and fire season. We’re almost there!
